Natasha Le Petit is a producer and an award winning screenplay writer and published short story writer.
She has a Bachelors degree in Communications from UTS, Sydney (majoring in Advanced Screenplay Writing) and studied writing for television at Australia Film, Television and Radio School (AFTRS).
Prior to launching her screenplay career, she worked for the Sydney Film Festival and Screen Australia (previously known as Film Australia).
After placing the top 3x in the Big Break International screenplay competition, her feature screenplay, The Undertaker’s Children, attracted the attention of a number of producers and is currently in pre-production with Chayah Masters (After the Wedding) and Emmy award winner, Alexander Gayner (Beef, Birds of Prey, Mulan) and has Ann Dowd (The Handmaid’s Tale, Mass, Hereditary) and Zosia Mamet (Madame Web, Girls, The Flight Attendant) attached.
In April she won the WIFT Cannes Catalyst Pitch comp.
Natasha has a passion for thrillers, horrors, and crime. Last year, she was commissioned by a UK producer to adapt a true crime novel into a feature screenplay.
She has a talent for writing twists. In fact, no one to date has guessed the ending for The Undertaker’s Children!
Her screenplay, The Yielding, is in development and has recently finished another thriller feature screenplay, Comrades.
